Monies released.
Further to the Rotary District Council meeting at Fulford, York on Saturday 20th January 2007, we are pleased to confirm that a further payment of £40,000.00p has been approved and remitted to Sri Lanka.
This further interim payment takes us up to our original pledge of £200,000.00p.
District Council also approved a further payment of £35,000.00p+ when the school is completed as further monies are still being collected.
Progress on the school at the moment is very slow due to the fragile security situation around Batticaloa, but at least we have progress, completion is expected early in the new year.
