Construction Report

Progress on site is very slow due to the fragile security situation in the North and East of the Island and the shortage of labour and materials, the opening date for the school has now been delayed past the end of September, a new completion date will be announced shortly.
The team of Rotarians will still be visiting the site in September and will report back on progress on there return.

The main school consists of three interlinked buildings - one two storey and two three story also a detached headmasters house and toilet block.

Principals quarters and toilet block including all drainage are now 100% complete.
Two storey building up to first floor level.
Both three storey buildings up to first floor beams with shuttering almost complete.

 

Pencils and paper

Thomas's Jewlers in Skipton have been collecting for the school for everal month and have raised the fantastic sum of £93.16p.
They have requested that this money be used for the purchase of pen's pencil's and paper for use in the school after the official opening.
This equipment will be taken out in September by the team of Rotarians when they visit the school.
