Racegoers See 'Yorkshire School' win the Big One
COME TO THE RACES organised by Rotary Club of Elland Cricket Club on Sunday 13th November and sponsored by Lloyds TSB, was attended by 100 people who enjoyed a splendid 3 course lunch and six races featuring horses owned, named and trained by Elland Rotarians and spouses with each race being sponsored by a local company or business.
The Tote was run by six students from Rishworth School and the Feature Race being an Auction saw “TheYorkshire School” winning an exciting and close run race. Overall the event raised a magnificent £1846-00. This was certainly a Winner!!
