Sponsored Community Walk

Bethan Lyons aged 12, joined in the Rotary Community walk in the Yorkshire Dales with her father a Senior Commercial Manager with HSBC in Bradford and raised a staggering £250.00p for the Yorkshire School appeal.
A big thank you to Bethan for her hard work and kind donation to the Tunami appeal.

Rotary visit to Sri Lanka

Only two weeks to go until a team of Rotarians will be jetting off to Sri Lanka, the visit was initially for the opening of the new "Yorkshire School" but due to construction delays and the fragile conflict situation in the Tamil areas this is now unlikely. The team will however visit other completed schools and discuss how we can give continued support with the teachers of the KSV school and the local Education Department.
The Sri Lankan Government will take over responsibility for the maintenance and running of the school once the building works are complete.

Tony Rampton Trust Donation

A further generous donation has been received from the Tony Rampton Trust in Bradford, the Trust is run by Grattens for their employee's charities. A big thank you for your kind support, these funds will go a long way in Sri Lanka.

A further cheque has also been recieved from the Rotary Club of Skipton, thank you for your continued support.
