Official School Opening
The Yorkshire School in Sri Lanka will be officially opened on the 23rd September 2006, a team of Rotarians from our district headed by the District Governor will be in attendance and will present a leather bound book containing the names of all donors to the appeal including all schools, businesses, rotary clubs and individuals.
The team will also be taking pictures and video's of the school to show to those who helped to raise funds for the appeal.

Milestone - 100th School
Another milestone has now been passed by Ings County Primary School, Broughton Road, Skipton being the one hundredth school to donate to the Yorkshire School appeal.
The donation was raised by a non-uniform day at the end of the Spring term.
Ings School has also stated that they would like a long term relationship with the Yorkshire School in Sri Lanka
The picture shows the chairman of the KSV appeal committee Rotarian Ian Carling presenting a schools certificate to the children in recognition of their hard work and kind donation.
This now makes it thirteen schools in the Craven area that have donated to the "Yorkshire School in Sri Lanka" appeal.

Bronze Awards
Two more Rotary Clubs in D1040 are to be awarded a Bronze Award Certificate for donations of over £2,5000.00p to the school appeal. A big thank you to the Rotary Club of Otley Chevin and the Rotary Club of Haworth & Worth Valley.
This now increases our Bronze Award winners to ten Rotary Clubs.
Can any more Clubs achieve a Bronze or upgrade to a Silver or Gold???
