Yorkshire School raffle tickets still available
Rotary Clubs throughout the District are reminded that there are still books of appeal Raffle Tickets available. Books were circulated to Clubs via International Chairs earlier in the year, with the raffle to be drawn on 16 October (at District Conference). If anyone requires further books then please contact the Rotary Club of Skipton, who will forward supplies.
Please do not forget to return completed stubs and money for tickets sold (or any unsold tickets) as soon as possible, to the Rotary Club of Skipton...that way we'll know how many tickets have been sold, and who could sell more tickets!!

Huge Support from BUSC Ski for Tsunami
The Yorkshire School appeal has received huge support from the British University Snowsports Council (BUSC), who organised a "Ski for Tsunami" event. The funds raised through this event - totalling some £15,000 - are being given to the appeal to help boost the appeal, and to emphasise the importance that education has in rebuilding the community in Sri Lanka. Our thanks go to everyone at BUSC for this generous support.
Yorkshire Society supports appeal
The Yorkshire School appeal has been given the support of the Yorkshire Society in its efforts to raise £200,000 for the rebuilding of a school destroyed by the tsunami in Sri Lanka. The Society will be distributing information to encourage its members to support "Yorkshire working together to achieve something we can all be proud of"
